Marks and Spencer Voucher Campaign

In order to qualify for our free £20 of Marks and Spencers vouchers, you must provide us with your latest renewal schedule which confirms the cover being provided and your premium. Your vouchers will be sent to your nursery within 14 days of obtaining your quotation from Albany Childcare. Qualifying criteria applies (standard construction property, acceptable claims experience, acceptable postal code area) and subject to your current premium being no less than £1,000.

Your duty to Disclose Information

It is the policyholder's responsibility, as a matter of law, to provide the insurer with complete and accurate information when a policy is taken out, throughout the life of the policy and at every renewal. Any failure to inform the insurer of any material facts/information or any inaccuracies may invalidate your insurance cover in part or whole. Facts material to the insurance are matters of information which may influence the decision of your insurer to accept the insurance or the premium charged. If you are unsure as to whether certain facts are relevant or not you should contact us for guidance. You are advised to keep copies of documentation sent to or received from us for your own protection.

Data Protection & Confidentiality

We may use the information you provide for the purpose of insurance broking, administration, underwriting and claims handling.
We may use some of the information to advise you of other products and services offered by insurance companies that we feel may be of benefit to you. To protect our customers, we are only able to accept instructions for changes to any policy from the policyholder. You have a right to request a copy of the information we hold about you, and we reserve the right to charge a small fee for this access. You also have the right to require us to correct any inaccuracies in your information held. Your personal details, and those of anyone else covered under your policy, are not disclosed to anyone accept in the circumstances described above. Most insurers we deal with have a sharing of information agreement to prevent fraud and whenever you arrange your insurance through us, your cover and premium will be agreed with your insurers on the basis that you agree to their passing on claims information to the claims and underwriting exchange register and other databases. Also to help detect uninsured drivers your insurers will supply details of your motor insurance to the Motor Insurance Database (MID) run by the Motor Insurers Information Centre (MIIC), which can be accessed by the police or others insurers. Anyone pursuing a claim in respect of a road traffic accident may also obtain relevant information held on the MID.

Payment of Premium

Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due immediately at inception or at the time of alterations requested. If a later time is agreed, we may withhold certain documents such as your policy or certificate whilst we are awaiting payment. Renewals should be paid before the expiry date of your current insurance period.

Your right to cancel your policy

All retail customers will have 14 days to change their mind and cancel the insurance contract once the insurance policy is received. In the event of cancellation, insurers may return a pro rata premium to us based on the time on risk, which may be subject to an administration fee. We will also refund net of our brokerage.

Our Regulatory Body

On the 1st April 2013, The Financial Services Authority (FSA) was replaced by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Albany Asset Management Ltd, are authorised and regulated by the regulatory body. The Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS)

We are covered by the FSCS. You may be entitled to compensation from the scheme if we cannot meet our obligations. This depends on the type of business and the circumstance of the claim. For most types of insurance, advising and arranging is covered for 100% of the first £2,000 and 90% of the remainder of the claim, without any upper limit. Further information about compensation scheme arrangements is available from the FSCS.

Policies paid by Monthly Direct Debit

We may be able to accept payments of annual policies by direct debit. Our Preferred credit provider is Premium Credit Ltd although we do offer alternative credit suppliers, details will be given upon request. When electing to pay via Direct Debit you agree that payments will automatically continue at renewal unless you advise us that you no longer require the insurance or wish to pay by another method.

Our right to cancel your Insurance

We reserve the right to cancel your policy, giving you 7 days notice in writing to the last known address we hold on file for you, due to non payment of any premiums due or outstanding documentation not being returned.
